Nutzungsbedingungen

Was Pedalparty ist

Terms of use

These terms apply to the use of Pedalparty. Who provides Pedalparty is stated in the legal notice.

What Pedalparty is

Pedalparty is a game for smart trainers in the browser. You ride minigames and workouts alone or with others in a shared room. It is free to use.

Who may take part

You must be at least 16 years old. Each account belongs to one person. Sign in with an email address that is yours and that you can receive.

Health and safety

You train at your own risk. The games deliberately push you through hard intervals. Only ride if you feel healthy. If you have heart or circulation problems, a medical condition, are pregnant or haven't exercised in a long time, talk to a doctor first.

Stop right away if you feel chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness or nausea.

Set up your bike and trainer safely, as the manufacturer describes. If you turn on “Control the trainer”, the app sets the resistance. You can always pedal slower, shift or stop.

Pedalparty is not a medical device. FTP, watts per kilo, heart rate and all other numbers are estimates by your trainer and the app. They are no basis for medical decisions.

Play fair

Don't pick a name that insults or belittles others or pretends to be someone else. Only share invite links with people who should ride along. Don't fake numbers, don't use bots and don't attack the server.

Suspending and deleting accounts

You can delete your account at any time under Account. If someone breaks these terms, I may suspend or delete the account. If I shut Pedalparty down, I will announce it in the app at least four weeks in advance.

Availability

I do my best to keep Pedalparty running, but cannot always guarantee it. Rooms only live in the server's memory. A restart or update can end a running workout. What you have ridden until then stays saved, as far as the app could still store it.

Other providers

If you connect Strava, Strava's terms apply to your Strava account. For your trainer, its manufacturer's instructions apply. Pedalparty is not part of Strava, Zwift or any trainer manufacturer and is not endorsed by them.

Liability

I am liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and for harm to life, body or health that I am responsible for. For slight negligence I am only liable if I breach a duty that is essential to using Pedalparty. In that case liability is limited to the damage that is typically foreseeable. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

Changes

I may change these terms, for example when new features arrive. I will tell you about important changes in advance in the app or by email. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

Law

German law applies. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection the law there mandatorily gives you. I do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
